Q: What areas of Kauai are served by ChildCare Kauai?
A: We can provide child care providers to all areas of Kauai.

Q: What times are your services available and for what durations?
A: We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including holidays.  There is no maximum duration.  A 4-hour minimum charge does apply during the daytime (beginning before 5pm).  A 3-hour minimum applies for nights (beginning after 5pm).

Q: What are the rates for your services?
A: The hourly rates are based upon the number of children and are listed in the table below.  The total amount is charged after the session.  For larger groups, please contact us for special rates.

Q: How is the payment handled?
A: We accept cash and Venmo.  Payment is due at the completion of the session.

Q: What training is required for ChildCare Kauai providers and what are their backgrounds?
A: All child care providers are trained in first aid and CPR.  Our child care providers are current or former nurses, teachers, caregivers, lifeguards, college students and / or mothers.

Q: If we require your service for multiple days during our stay, can we request the same person?
A: Yes.  We will do everything we can to make this happen.  You can of course request a change in child care providers at any time.

Q: What does the child care provider bring with her?
A: Each provider brings a first aid kit.  She also will have a collection of toys, crafts, books, etc. that is selected according to the ages of the children.

Q: Can the child care provider take the children to the pool area?
 A: Yes, with your approval.

Q: Can the child care provider take the children into the ocean?
A: The beach is ok with your approval.  However, our insurance does not permit the children to go into the ocean.

Q: Can the child care provider take the children away from the resort area?
A: No.  The child care provider is not permitted to take the children in any car.  Walks along the beach or around the resort area is acceptable.

Q: How are meals handled for the children and the sitter?
A: Meals for the children should be available in the room or some form of room service or delivery service should be approved ahead of time.  Meals for the child care provider are not required unless you choose to offer them.

Q: How many children can be watched by each child care provider?
A: Each child care provider can watch up to 3 children.

Q: Can you handle larger groups of children?
A: Yes.  We will arrange to have the required number of child care providers for any amount of children.  We can also plan for special activities or events if desired.
